Posté le: 01/06/2018 07:19:32 Sujet du message: Rangers pair Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller fined for dressing
Rangers have fined club sbo128 captain Lee Wallace the maximum of four weeks' wages for his dressing-room bust-up with former Ibrox boss Graeme Murty.
Veteran striker Kenny Miller received a fine of two weeks' wages for his part in the angry confrontation at Hampden.
The club took disciplinary action against the duo after Wallace, 30, voiced his displeasure at Murty following a 4-0 defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final in April.
Miller, 38, was also heavily critical of Murty, with the club's hierarchy unhappy over what they saw as a show of disrespect by both men towards the manager.
Neither player had been directly involved in the match, with Miller an unused substitute in the Old Firm clash while Wallace has not played for the club since last September through injury.
After the semi-final incident, both players were suspended on full pay by Rangers and banished from Ibrox and the club's sbo128 training ground at Auchenhowie.
Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson then carried out a protracted internal investigation, speaking to other first-team players who witnessed the showdown with Murty first-hand.
Sportsmail understands that former Hearts left-back Wallace still faces an uncertain future at Ibrox. Miller's contract expired at the stroke of midnight on June 1 and his Rangers career is now officially over. Both players are likely to appeal their fines.
Wallace's future is now just one of the issues to be tackled in Steven Gerrard's in-tray. The Liverpool legend officially starts his job as Rangers boss n Friday but his players are not due to report back for pre-season training until June 15. sbo128
